This is the final page of chapter one, and is going to be the final page for a good long while, as we take a hiatus from Anchorbird. I’m going to try to get the same group of guys together for chapter two, but that’ll probably happen in 2010.
The sixty-fourth page, set to be published on the 9th of October, is the end of the first chapter of Anchorbird. We worked hard to make the storyline come to a satisfying conclusion while also leaving things open for future adventures of Anchorbird. Once it goes up, there will be a short hiatus of indeterminate length while we solidify a list of artists and editors to contribute to Chapter Two. We need 16 artists and 3 editors (although they may overlap), and if you’re interested in either of these roles please email me at ewen.scott@gmail.com. Include a link to your deviantART or online portfolio so I can see your work.
Since June we’ve been updating this webcomic at anchorbird.blogspot.com, but now we finally have our own dot-com. If you’ve never read Anchorbird before, it’s an ongoing narrative in the form of a collaborative webcomic. That is, there are multiple artists taking turns adding onto the story. We have no script, no plan, and no idea where the story is headed, so we get to enjoy the progression of the story along with the readers.
For more information, read the “What is Anchorbird?” page.
